“I Drew Roger Rabbit” – Richard Williams featurette

My Mentor Paul Allen passed this onto us after our First Q&A, and I really appreciated it as I mentioned Roger Rabbit as being one of my main inspirations for wanting to get into animation. Its a featurette on Richard Williams and how they did the magic they did for Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Its Pretty Cool to see the extent Zemeckis went to to get the look he did, but a big part of the success goes to Richard Williams and his staff for the amazing aniamtion, and painting they did. the lighting in some shots is simply amazing.

Make sure to watch all three parts in the playlist.

I think what I loved most about Roger Rabbit was it was the one place where I got to see so many different characters together. to really sell the idea that this world really exists, I think seeing Disney, MGM, Warner Bros., Fleischer, Walter Lantz, and even Felix the cat (king features) just sold that this universe was some crazy place the toons all went to after their crazy cartoon antics.
